Another Foundation mission is to promote education at all levels. The Hennick family believes that education is pivotal to an individual's future development and will have a profound impact on his or her social welfare and long-term prosperity. To date, the Foundation has supported these institutions in education:

  • "The Hennick Centre for Business and Law" www.hennickcentre.ca , a joint venture between Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business at York University
  • "The Jay S Hennick LL.B.-MBA Program", a joint venture between the University of Ottawa Law School and the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa
  • The University of Toronto (Clarkson Centre) at the Rotman School of Business
  • The Fraser Institute
  • The Peter Drucker Foundation
  • Canadian Society for Yad Vashem
  • "The Hennick Atrium" at the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto.

On October 13, 2011, Jay Hennick received the Honorary Degree, Doctor of Laws from York University in Toronto at their annual convocation ceremony. This is a great honour and a fitting tribute to Jay's leadership, success, community involvement, and philanthropic contributions over many years. Included below is a website link capturing both the introduction of Jay by Patrick J. Monahan, Vice-President Academic and Provost of York University, to those attending the convocation as well as Jay's address to the graduating class and their guests.
